Hello! I'm Sam, a reportage/documentary style Yorkshire wedding photographer based in York. I got married in 2016 and I can truly say that my wedding day was the best day of my life. Getting the right wedding photographer was vital for me and my wife, Amanda, and I hope it is for you, too.
I want to capture your wedding day in an exciting, fun, engrossing way, concentrating on the beauty of the day and all the candid moments that make it memorable. The images you'll get from me will be a touch different with a little bit of style and finesse. Hopefully you'll forget I'm there: I try to stay in the background as much as possible! I love weddings and I take a huge amount of pride in my work: I will give everything on the day to create some truly special memories for you.
Aside from wedding photography, I work in theatre, film and TV taking portraits of actors as well as rehearsal and production shots.
My photography has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, The Independent, The Financial Times, The Evening Standard, The Stage, Time Out and What's On Stage.
I like to offer one package which is full day coverage. Simple. I'll be there as early as you want me, shooting all the getting-ready action, right through to the dancing in the evening. I'll then go home and start work on preparing all of your images individually in my signature style.
However, if you are looking for something a little different, a shorter session for example, then get in touch and I'll see what I can do.
Have a look round my site and if you like what I do, and would like to hear a bit more about how I work, then I would love to hear from you!
