Hello! I'm Sam, a reportage/documentary style Yorkshire wedding photographer. I got married in 2016 and I can truly say that my wedding day was the best day of my life. Getting the right wedding photographer was vital for me and my wife, Amanda, and I hope it is for you, too.
We live in a little house in York, just to the two of us, along with our new little friend Harold, a mini-Dachshund.
Your wedding photos really mean a great deal to me. I will produce photos that you will truly treasure; interesting images, full of movement and fun that capture the unique atmosphere of your day. I work in the background, capturing moments from a distance - this is reportage, or documentary wedding photography. The aim is to tell the story of your day without getting in the way. Have a look through my portfolio to see what I mean.
Hopefully you think that my images here are a little different from might be referred to as a 'traditional' wedding photographer's portfolio, and if so I think we could be a great fit.
Aside from wedding photography, I work in theatre, film and TV taking portraits of actors as well as rehearsal and production shots.
My photography has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, The BBC, The Independent, The Financial Times, The Evening Standard, The Stage, Time Out, What's On Stage, Brides Up North, The English Wedding Blog, and Offbeat Bride.
I offer one package which is full day coverage anywhere in the UK. Simple. I'll be there as early as you want me, shooting all the getting-ready action, right through to the dancing in the evening. I'll then go home and start work on preparing all of your images individually in my signature style.
However, if you are looking for something a little different, a shorter session for example, then get in touch and I'll see what I can do.
Have a look round my site and if you like what I do, and would like to hear a bit more about how I work, then I would love to hear from you!
