Hello! I'm Sam, a documentary style Yorkshire wedding photographer. I live in a little house in York with my best pal Harold, a mini-Dachshund.
Your wedding photos really mean a great deal to me. I will produce photos that you will truly treasure and want to put on the wall; interesting images, full of movement and fun that capture the unique atmosphere of your day. I work in the background, capturing moments from a distance - this is reportage, or documentary wedding photography. The aim is to tell the story of your day without getting in the way. Have a look through my portfolio to see what I mean.
Hopefully you think that my images here are a little different from what might be referred to as a 'traditional' wedding photographer's portfolio, and if so, I think we could be a great fit. I want to capture the best moments of your day - the ones you see and the ones you miss.
Aside from wedding photography, I work in theatre, film and TV taking portraits of actors as well as rehearsal and production shots. If you have a minute, why not have a look through my blog to see the projects I've been working on recently.
I am the Unit Photographer on 'Sex Education' (Netflix) and am Photographer in Residence at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). My photography has been featured in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Huffington Post, The Hollywood Reporter, The Guardian, The Times, The BBC, The Australian, The Independent, Cosmopolitan, Refinery 29, Entertainment Weekly, The Radio Times, The Financial Times, The Evening Standard, The Stage, Time Out, What's On Stage, Gay Times, Brides Up North, The English Wedding Blog, and Offbeat Bride.
I offer one package which is full day coverage anywhere in the UK. Simple. I'll be there as early as you want me, shooting all the getting-ready action, right through to the dancing in the evening. I'll then go home and start preparing all of your images individually in my signature style.
Have a look round my site and if you like what I do, and would like to hear a bit more about how I work, then I would love to hear from you!
